School Closure Related Breakfast/Lunch Services
Description
Pandemic Emergency Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) to allow Illinois families to buy food for school-aged children and young adults who are eligible for National School Lunch Program or reduced-price meals when schools are in session.

Eligibility
School children 3 to 17 years of age and young adults 18 to 22 years of age who are in high school who would receive National School Lunch Program free or reduced-price meals when schools are in session.

Intake Procedure
(1) Children and young adults in families who are already receiving SNAP do not need to apply, the benefits will be loaded onto their LINK/EBT card automatically. (2) Apply online at ABE.illinois.gov, or fill out the paper application by downloading it from the IDHS website and emailing the completed form to DHS.FCS.PEBT@illinois.gov. (3) Completed application forms can also be mailing to the Central Scan Unit in Springfield, IL. (4) For those who are not currently SNAP recipients, a new P-EBT link card will be mailed out to them with instructions to set up their PIN.
